The only and logic limitation is, that the sender's pc has to be turned on and online, so that the recipient can download the file with a link that points directly to the file on the sender's pc.
So the sender has full control over the file, he can alow tha amount of downloads, the time of valid downloads and also can put a password, if he want. I have an account there, but would this be the right place? I mean TDM is still being worked on and there will be new versions again and again I hope Attaching TDM to nexus would decrease its value and status. TDM has its own distribution system for content, we dont nexus at all. If you wanted to enhance TDM then there is only 1 way togo, you make a proper launcher for the game.

Download numbers on ModDB are quite low for the latest releases, how are the numbers from the internal updater? How large is the number of TDM players? I just did a quick search on the Alexa web statistics site and Nexus Mods seems to get much more traffic right now compared to ModDBs. So we should really consider this Why not?
